About Us

Providing an abundance of clean, cool water to our dogs was always a challenge and those 5 gallon plastic jugs at Petsmart were too heavy to lift, impossible to keep clean and you could not move them when they were filled. Critter Concepts is a family run business based in Las Vegas that began in 2006 with the creation of the Critter Cooler that solves all of those problems. And as it turned out, thousands of dog people had the same problem, so we got busy and a company was born. Then in 2008 one of our rescues developed a severe skin condition and he was literally scratching himself bloody. We had to put the cone on his head and he would just use it as a battering ram— nobody was happy. We changed his diet and tried every medicated pet shampoo we could find, then finally in desperation we attempted to formulate our own shampoo, using just the finest natural ingredients. The Critter Comfort Anti-Itch Shampoo was the result of months of trial and error with at least 20 different all natural shampoo recipes until we found just the right balance that soothes the skin, promotes healing and leaves the coat shiny and smelling great. Many of our Critter Cooler customers wanted the shampoo for their babies and a few of them are world class breeders so the word got out. Then last year we put the shampoo on Amazon and it became a best seller. So that’s our story, we are just dog people that tried to solve some problems so that we could better live with and love our dogs. Send questions or comments to [email protected] or write to us at Critter Concepts, 8635 W. Sahara Ave. #574, Las Vegas NV., 89117 or call us at 877-6-BIG-DOG.  And may God Bless you and your four legged family.
